Job Title: Chemical Safety Manager H/F

We are seeking a seasoned Health and Safety Manager to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, develop safety policies, promote a safety culture, track performance, and effectively communicate with clients and stakeholders. The Health and Safety Manager will play a critical role in creating a safe work environment and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.

Health and Safety Planning and Compliance
  1. Develop and execute comprehensive health and safety plans, ensuring compliance with legal guidelines and regulations.
  2. Establish policies to cultivate a safety culture and assess risks for compliance purposes, ensuring a proactive approach to health and safety.
Training and Awareness

Conduct training sessions to raise employee awareness of fire and water health and safety matters, with a focus on airside understanding and compliance.

Monitoring and Corrective Actions
  1. Monitor compliance with health and safety policies and regulations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions when needed.
  2. Inspect equipment, investigate incidents, and implement corrective actions to ensure a safe work environment.
Performance Tracking and Reporting

Track health and safety performance metrics, reporting on health and safety metrics to management, stakeholders, and clients to ensure transparency and accountability.

Collaboration and Improvement

Collaborate with managers to improve health and safety, environment, and well-being practices, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.

ISO 45001 Certification

Lead the implementation of effective management systems to achieve ISO 45001 certification, ensuring a robust and compliant health and safety management system.

Client Communication

Effectively communicate health and safety guidelines, performance, and initiatives to clients, ensuring clear and transparent communication and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications
  1. Proven experience in a safety management role, preferably in airline catering or related industry.
  2. Minimum NEBOSH General certificate; NEBOSH Diploma, CMIOSH, IOSH, IFSM desirable.
  3. In-depth knowledge of health and safety laws, regulations, and ISO 45001 standards.
  4. Airside experience will be preferred.
  5. Excellent attention to detail in identifying hazards, assessing risks, and recommending improvements.
  6. Strong communication skills (written and verbal) to convey guidelines and reports effectively.
  7. Leadership abilities with a track record of implementing health and safety initiatives.
  8. Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently or collaboratively in a busy environment.
  9. Experience leading large teams with a high level of stress.
  10. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for data-driven decision-making.
  11. High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct.
  12. Comprehensive understanding of food safety and hygiene practices in the catering industry.
  13. Management experience in property, development, or aviation-related fields is beneficial.
