Job Title: Automotive Service Controller

24-7 Recruitment Services Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automotive Service Controller to join our team. As a key member of our Eastlands Freight team, you will be responsible for controlling the flow of EU/UK inbound vehicles, both direct and from the Staging Location.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Work closely with the Eastlands Freight team to ensure the smooth operation of EU/UK inbound vehicles.
  2. Update SAP with Day 0 updates, including delays, cancellations, and NTCs for Direct Deliveries and B to C deliveries from the Staging Location.
  3. Collaborate with R&FU to prioritize deliveries during peak periods and exceed delivery parameters.
  4. Chase updates from the EU/UK Ops team on late deliveries to the Staging Location.
  5. Book additional slots for extra deliveries and cancel slots for collections not required.
  6. Control and maintain dock slots as per the dock plan and operational requirements.
  7. Maintain and coordinate deliveries into Halewood for both Direct and B to C from the Staging Location.
  8. Update SAP with DAY 0 amendments, including additional, cancellations, or any other amendments.
  9. Adhere to company rules, regulations, and legislation related to occupational health and safety, the environment, and risk management.
Desirable Skills:
  1. EU/UK Automotive operational experience.
  2. SAP Awareness.
  3. Good degree of computer literacy, including Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint experience.
  4. Technical aptitude in the use of a variety of supporting software tools.
  5. Demonstrable experience of a high standard of commercial awareness and understanding of key costs and drivers within the supply chain.
Training and Development:

In-house training would be offered for the role, with initial training taking place in Birmingham. Candidates would need to be available to travel for training purposes in the interim.

Shift Pattern:
  1. 1st week: 06:00 - 14:00
  2. 2nd week: 14:00 - 22:00
Pay Information:

Basic: £14.70

OT after 8h or weekend: £05
