Housing Support Manager

The Senior Support Assistant plays a vital role in delivering high-quality support services to individuals in supported housing units. This is an exciting opportunity to join Templewood Recruitment and make a real difference in the lives of our Service Users.
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate individual who can provide exceptional support services, prioritising the needs of our Service Users. As a Senior Support Assistant, you will work collaboratively with our team to ensure seamless delivery of support services, maintaining the highest standards of care and welfare.
Main Responsibilities:
- Working closely with the Manager or Team Leader to oversee the day-to-day operations of supported housing units, ensuring smooth running and minimal disruption
- Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote the interests of Service Users, enhancing their overall experience
- Developing and implementing tailored support plans for each Service User, taking into account their unique needs and preferences
- Providing comprehensive physical and emotional support to Service Users, empowering them to maintain independence and confidence
- Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, protecting the rights and dignity of each Service User, and promoting a culture of respect and empathy
- Regularly communicating with stakeholders on Service User progress and development, ensuring they are informed and up-to-date
- Effectively managing Service User financials, ensuring transparency and accountability in all financial transactions
- Fostering a positive and inclusive environment, encouraging active participation from Service Users and staff, and promoting a sense of community
- Maintaining clear communication channels with Service Users and staff, addressing any concerns promptly and fairly
- Maintaining cleanliness, quality, security, and safety standards in each home and individual service user accommodation, adhering to Templewood Recruitment's policies and procedures
- Delivering training to subordinate staff to enhance their skills and competence, supporting their professional development and growth
- Actively participating in review meetings, contributing to the growth and development of the team, and identifying areas for improvement
- Achieving individual objectives set by the company, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
- Continuously improving processes and services, identifying areas for growth and development, and suggesting innovative solutions to enhance the overall experience of our Service Users
- Providing staff cover when required, demonstrating a willingness to go above and beyond to support the team
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Health and Social Care with at least two years of experience in a supported living environment, working towards QCF/NVQ Level 3
- Strong life skills, including daily living skills, which can be transferred to service users
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and Internet applications
- Exceptional English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Full driving license and access to a reliable vehicle to support Service Users
Estimated Salary: £29,000 - £33,000 per annum, dependent on experience
