Job Description

West London NHS Trust is seeking an experienced and skilled Social Work Director to lead our CAMHS team. As a key member of our Senior Management Team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing social work strategies across the three boroughs of Hammersmith and Fulham, Ealing, and Hounslow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of Social Workers to deliver high-quality services to patients and families.
  • Develop and implement social work policies and procedures to ensure best practices.
  • Collaborate with local authorities and other stakeholders to promote partnership working and co-production of services.
  • Oversee workforce planning and retention strategies to ensure a stable and skilled workforce.
  • Ensure high standards of social work practice are embedded across the organization.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in social work, particularly in leadership and management roles.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work creatively and think strategically.
  • Knowledge of social work legislation and policies affecting CAMHS services.

Working Arrangements:

The successful candidate will be responsible for a workload equivalent to 0.6 to 1.0 full-time equivalent (FTE), with an appropriate job plan to be agreed with the successful candidate.
