Corporate Partnerships Role

Urban Land Institute seeks a seasoned business development professional to lead its Corporate Partnerships programme in EMEA. The successful candidate will be responsible for retaining corporate members, managing partners, and identifying opportunities to raise new revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute a business development strategy that meets the organisation’s growth objectives.

Work closely with National Councils to provide functional oversight of all business development activities.

Prepare and track proposals, and deliver quarterly progress reports to monitor new corporate activity and progress against targets.

Engage in direct fundraising tasks, including prospect research, face-to-face and virtual meetings, and developing and writing proposals.

Organisational Leadership:

Recruit and lead a growing team of business development professionals.

Serve as a senior leader of the Corporate Partnerships team and assist in the mentorship and growth of the broader team.

Candidates should bring a measurable track record of success in business development, relationship building, and/or account management, with strong analytical, strategic planning, time management, and organisational skills.

A Bachelor’s degree is required, and 8-10 years of account management/business development experience, ideally within the real estate industry, including at least 3-5 years of experience in a leadership role.

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to develop and implement institutional partnership strategies that sustainably increase revenue for an organisation, and exceptional organisational skills: ability to develop and execute plans efficiently and effectively.

Requirements:

A strong understanding of commercial real estate and/or land use issues is an asset, but not required.

Candidates should have excellent written and oral communication skills, with a track record of writing compelling and successful proposals.

Experience communicating with senior-level executives and engaging them in a business development or fundraising process is essential.
