Process Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Safety Engineer to join our team at GSK. As a key member of our Engineering and EHS organisation, you will be responsible for providing on-going engineering support for managing infrastructure systems at our UK R&D sites.
Key Responsibilities- Hold Technical Authority for assigned areas such as pressure systems, industrial steam boilers, bulk gases, chillers, and control of legionella.
- Oversee engineering safety programmes at the R&D sites in line with GSK's Engineering & Statutory Duty Holder Framework.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve safety and hierarchy of controls.
- Act as technical engineering representative on capital projects to ensure projects are designed, modified, and delivered in accordance with external and internal GSK engineering/EHS standards.
- Support GSK 2030 Net Zero Carbon Initiatives and build relationships with key R&D customers to support R&D delivery.
- Hold a degree in Mechanical/Process Engineering or Building Services.
- Experience with industrial engineering systems such as HVAC, steam, and pressure systems.
- Experience with engineering safety management, including hazard identifications, engineering risk assessments, and hierarchy of control reviews.
- Experience in engineering or operations in the pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or other large, regulated industry.
