We are seeking a skilled and experienced Nursery Chef to join our team at Woodberry Day Nursery. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals for our young children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook nutritious meals for our children, adhering to strict health and safety guidelines.
  • Manage food allergies and dietary requirements, ensuring that all children receive suitable meals.
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to internal and external health and safety standards.
  • Work closely with our nursery staff to ensure that all children's needs are met.
  • Manage kitchen budgets and resources effectively.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a nursery or childcare setting.
  • Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
