Senior Mechanical Engineer Job Description

Omega Resource Group is a leading global engineering client looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mechanical engineering, particularly in a leadership role, and a strong understanding of engineering principles, processes, and best practices.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop engineering solutions to meet project requirements, including schedule, quality, and cost considerations.
  • Work with internal and external customers, suppliers, and colleagues in mechanical, systems, and hardware disciplines.
  • Manage formal requirements allocated to mechanical systems, validate these requirements according to industry standards, and demonstrate compliance through design descriptions and verification methods.
  • Compile work estimates and plans to support project managers. Proactively track progress, update plans, and adapt as projects develop.
  • Mentor and develop apprentices, undergraduate interns, graduate engineers, and non-senior engineers to enhance their skills and increase department capacity.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing engineering projects from conception to completion.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, processes, and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on innovation and quality.
