Building Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Building Maintenance Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis. As a Building Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep of our premises, including securing the building, managing equipment, and performing routine maintenance tasks. This role is perfect for someone with previous caretaking or maintenance experience who is looking for a secure and stable work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Secure the premises by locking doors and gates, shutting down equipment, and inspecting the outer perimeter fences each day
- Operate fire alarm, intruder alarm, and building security systems, reporting any faults to the manager
- Attend after-hour alarm callouts and report any breaches of security to the line manager
- Apply grit to ensure pathways and entrances are free from snow and ice when necessary
- Empty litter bins daily and replenish toilet rolls, soaps, paper towels as needed
- Clean the canteen, toilets, meetings, and communal area to a high standard
- Previous caretaking or maintenance experience
- Able to work independently
