Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Automation Project Manager to lead critical automation projects within the automotive industry.

About the Role

This is a fixed-term employment opportunity, with a potential extension, based in Halewood. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and controlling all site commissioning activities, including weekly updates of the Autostatus document, while ensuring project schedules, scopes, and budgets are met.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical experience in robotics, automation, and controls, as well as excellent communication skills to engage with customers, suppliers, and internal staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain control over site commissioning activities and ensure compliance with Leidos and site safety procedures and standards.
  • Manage subcontracted efforts to ensure performance gaps between organizations are addressed.
  • Closely monitor technical, schedule, and cost performance measures to assess engineering performance against contract requirements.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including the Integrated Master Schedule, and provide material to support project work or operational support services.
Requirements
  • A proven track record in delivering projects or task work packages, ideally in automation, robotics, or controls projects in the automotive body in white sector.
  • Strong analytical and systematic approach to technical challenges, with ability to demonstrate problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with customers, suppliers, and internal staff, with proficiency in written communication, presentations, and reporting.
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of £45,000 - £60,000, depending on experience, along with paid overtime, flexible benefits, and opportunities for career growth and development.
