Job Title: Events Porter

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Events Porter to join our team at Searcys, a leading events venue in central London.

Job Summary:

The Events Porter will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of events at our venue, including receiving and storing goods, equipment, and supplies, as well as providing exceptional customer service to clients and guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive, count, inspect, and store goods and equipment, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Coordinate with BEOs and clients to set up the venue, ensuring timely and efficient execution
  • Move equipment safely and carefully to protect the venue and its contents
  • Liaise with couriers, clients, and delivery drivers to ensure efficient communication and coordination
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in all areas of the back of house
  • Report any discrepancies or issues to the Operations Manager
  • Manage and secure liquor stock, ensuring accurate counting and loading
  • Record and maintain documentation related to goods and equipment receipt and return, as well as alcohol and beverage dispense and returns
  • Perform other administrative tasks as directed by the Line Manager
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Ability to lift and move equipment safely
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures
