Job Title: Competitive Connections Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Competitive Connections Manager to join our team at Northern Powergrid. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end processes for Independent Connection Providers and Independent Distributors within our area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and develop processes to provide a first-class service to Independent Connections Providers and Independent Distributors.
• Streamline the Competition in Connections process, minimizing input services wherever possible.
• Deliver commercially and regulatory compliant quotations on time, ensuring effective delivery.
• Establish and maintain exceptional customer relationships with key stakeholders.
• Act as the go-to person for all matters relating to Competition in Connections and Distribution.
• Deliver against Competition in Connections obligations (SLC52).
• Maintain oversight of industry accreditation schemes such as National Electricity Registration Scheme (NERS).

• Ability to improve processes leading to improved customer service.
• Exceptional customer relationship building and maintenance skills.
• Identifying and escalating material risks, bringing forward solutions.
• Providing oversight and ensuring timely resolution of issues and escalated complaints.
• Delivering high-quality documentation.

Qualifications and Attributes:

• Degree or Higher National qualified in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Full UK driving license.
• First-class communication skills.
• Excellent customer management skills.
• Experience of relationship building at senior level.
• Experience of the UK power network, including connections providers and/or contractors.
