Job Overview:

We are seeking a Truck and Bus Engineer to join our team at Questech Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our engineering support team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise in the maintenance and repair of trucks and buses.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working with HGVs, LGVs, or PSVs, and will possess a Level 3 Motor Vehicle Mechanics qualification or equivalent.

A competitive salary of £50,000 - £70,000 per annum is on offer, plus additional benefits including life insurance, enhanced pension, and annual pay rises. You will also enjoy a generous holiday allowance of 33 days per year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic fault diagnosis, repair, and installation
  • Setting and operating of machine tools and equipment
  • Supporting workshops team members, including Apprentice Technicians as required
  • Accurately recording time to complete jobs and associated details

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Motor Vehicle Mechanics City & Guilds/NVQ or equivalent
  • Previous experience as a qualified Fitter/Mechanic/Engineer
  • Possession of own tools
