Job Title: Learning Support Assistant - SEMH Specialist

Location: Barking and Dagenham

Salary Scale: £90-£100 per day

Contract type: Long Term Contract, 5 days a week, 8:30 – 16:00

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to support children with challenging behaviour profiles deriving from their possible difficulties to socialise, emotional and/or mental health difficulties/traumas.

You will be joining a friendly, energetic, and creative team working within a children's mental health, trauma and/or neurodivergent provision.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will have the opportunity to 'get your foot in the door' and work closely with the various therapists, enabling you to expand your knowledge, skillset, and gain relevant practical experience.

This role is ideal for aspiring Occupational Therapists, Educational Psychologists and Speech and Language Therapists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children with challenging behaviour profiles

  • Gain relevant practical experience

Requirements:

  • Graduate of a social science, youth studies, psychology, criminology or similar
  • Sincerity, compassion, enthusiasm and inspiration
