You'll be a key member of the North Manchester team supporting the largest overhaul of the UK electricity grid in generations. This massive undertaking involves upgrading the grid to ensure it's fit for the future.
The Role:
As an Electrical Fitting Specialist, you'll work on complex 275kV or 400kV circuit breakers, transformers, high-speed on-load tap changers, and cable systems. You'll also maintain ancillary equipment such as DC battery systems, air compressors, diesel generators, and more.
About You:
- A minimum Level 2/3 recognised apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering or an NVQ/Level 3 electrical or mechanical qualification with relevant fitting experience is required.
- Excellent all-round engineering skills, including working to safety procedures, mechanical fitting, electrical fitting, hydraulics, pneumatics, working at height, lifting operations, panel wiring, and fault finding are essential.
- You must have a Full UK Driving Licence and be proficient in using a computer.
- Possibly located near Stalybridge (SK15) due to travel requirements.

- Starting Salary: £38,568 per annum, plus £1,794 seasonal working allowance, making your total salary around £40,362 per annum.
- 37 hours Monday to Friday, with weekends off.

Location and Requirements:
Please note that due to the nature of our work, you should live within roughly 30 minutes' travel time to Stalybridge (SK15).
