About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assembly Fitter to join our Proseal team in the UK. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest possible standard of assembly and build quality.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure machinery is fully prepared and tested prior to delivery.
  • Attend site for machine commissioning and breakdowns.
  • Work independently, with a high degree of self-discipline, proactivity, and a strong work ethic.
  • Develop and maintain strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Meet and exceed production instructions and quality standards.
  • Escalate any build anomalies to relevant personnel.
  • Provide on-site commissioning and customer training.

Requirements

  • Principally responsible for the mechanical assembly of all sub and main assemblies.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and pneumatic circuits.
  • Manage and maintain accurate electronic parts lists.
  • Carry out mechanical surveys, repairs, and servicing of Proseal equipment.
  • General engineering, marking out, drilling, and tapping skills.
  • Ability to work on-site or off-site as requested and agreed.

Qualifications

  • Time served with City and Guilds (C&G) or modern apprenticeship.
