Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Administrator to join our team at Platinum Food Partners Limited. As a key member of our purchasing team, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing high-quality meat and poultry products from suppliers within the UK and Europe.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as a buyer or purchaser in an FMCG role, with a strong background in negotiation and relationship-building. You will be confident in your ability to manage your own time effectively, use your own initiative, and work collaboratively as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and purchase meat and poultry products from suppliers within the UK and Europe
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of purchases, including prices, quantities, and delivery dates
  • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of purchasing activities
  • Conduct market research to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve supply chain efficiency and reduce costs

Requirements:

  • 1 year of experience working as a buyer or purchaser in an FMCG role
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Driving licence
