Grosvenor Casinos is seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our team in Southend-on-Sea. As a key member of our kitchen brigade, you will assist the Head Chef in managing the kitchen and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.



Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef in planning and executing menus, ensuring consistency and quality in food production
• Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene
• Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining kitchen equipment to ensure efficient operations
• Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager to ensure seamless service during peak periods
• Develop and implement new recipes and menu ideas to enhance the dining experience
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety protocols
• Participate in staff training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge



Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in a senior kitchen role, preferably in a high-volume casino environment
• Proven track record of maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff
• Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, including inventory management and equipment maintenance
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on customer satisfaction
• Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety protocols
