About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join our team as a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, where you will play a key role in designing, reviewing, and approving future systems technologies.

The successful candidate will be based in Wokingham or Warwick, with the option to work from home as part of our hybrid working arrangement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform proactive maintenance and monitoring of our IT infrastructure.
  • Provide technical analysis and support to our project teams.
  • Design, review, and approve future CNI services using Wintel, RedHat, and Storage/Backup technologies.
  • Support project teams in creating detailed project plans for new system designs and rollouts.
  • Provide technical documentation to support the transfer of projects to BAU.
  • Report on project deployments to the CNI Manager.
  • Provide technical assistance, training, and mentoring to other technical resources.
  • Monitor workflow management tools and react to logged tasks, incidents, and requests.
Requirements
  • Proven track record in system design, build, and management of RedHat Enterprise Linux V8/9 and Windows 2019/22.
  • Good understanding of network protocols and topologies.
  • Proven customer-facing experience in an IT service role.
  • Experience of working effectively in small to medium-sized teams in an Infrastructure/Application ITIL/DevSecOps-based support environment.
  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • Significant experience in a production IT environment managing enterprise IT infrastructure, hardware, hosting services, and network areas.
  • Ability to write architectural design documents or review design documents provided by others.
