Job Description

We are seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer Apprentice to join our team at CV Library. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compile, monitor, and update project plans and status reports to ensure timely completion and effective resource allocation.
  • Manage project engineering and procurement files, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.
  • Provide technical and administrative support for projects, including generating project procurement lists and handling RFQs and purchase orders.
  • Offer technical assistance during procurement, build, and test phases of projects, ensuring seamless execution and quality control.
  • Monitor and expedite the project procurement process, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing delays.
  • Handle project deliveries, goods inward approval, and assignment to relevant projects, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with company procedures.
  • Perform other project-related duties as requested by senior management, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Requirements:
  • Qualified to SVQ/NVQ level 5, ONC/HNC (Minimum Level 4), or City & Guilds T4 or T6 in Mechanical Engineering or EITB Approved Apprenticeship or similar.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and analytical application, with the ability to apply theoretical knowledge in practical scenarios.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, and Word, with experience in solid modeling and design software (Solidworks) being advantageous.
  • Flexible, adaptable, well-organized, and a team player, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
