About the Role

We seek Scheme Project Managers and Project Managers to join our Transportation Business Line in Manchester, York, or Leeds.

You will lead high-performing teams and be instrumental in Egis's growth, safely delivering £10-100m portfolios of challenging rail infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and manage non-complex or packages throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead teams through effective management, undertaking performance and development line management responsibilities for direct reports.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and champion a Health and Safety culture.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders, agreeing project requirements with the Project Sponsor to meet business objectives.
  • Propose and agree contract strategy with key stakeholders, producing Invitation to Tender documentation and managing procurement events.
  • Manage supply chain contracts, including early warnings, contract change, and change control.
  • Deliver multiple projects, interrogating programmes, challenging slippage, and making best decisions for programme delivery.
  • Manage project governance, reporting, and control structures, escalating issues, risks, and decisions through agreed Governance arrangements.
Requirements:
  • Rail experience is essential.
  • Member of the Association of Project Management (or equivalent).
  • A degree or equivalent.
  • Experience in managing projects to time, cost, and quality standards.
  • Implementing GRIP, PACE, Pathway, or other project management methodologies.
  • Contract administration experience.
  • Ability to interrogate project programmes (P6 and/or MSP).
  • Financial management/control experience.
  • People management experience, developing and empowering direct reports.
  • Demonstrable experience in stakeholder management, leading teams through complex project environments.

Estimated salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum.
