Lead Delivery Manager Job Description

This role involves delivering high-value, complex initiatives across all areas of technology. You will work in collaboration with the business to understand their needs, drive results and deliver excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the delivery of multiple technology initiatives, ranging from £3-7m, across different domains and platforms
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with the business stakeholders, understand their requirements, and ensure that the initiatives deliver value and meet their expectations
  • Define and implement the delivery strategy, approach, and plan, and ensure that initiatives follow the best practices and standards of project management
  • Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, resources, communication, and risks, and proactively resolve any issues or conflicts that arise
  • Coordinate and collaborate with the delivery teams, third parties, and other delivery managers
  • Provide regular and transparent reporting and status updates to the senior management and governance boards
  • Drive the adoption of agile and lean methodologies, tools, and techniques

Requirements:
  • Ideally 5+ years experience and proven track record of delivering complex and high-value technology initiatives across different domains and common enterprise-scale technology platforms
  • MUST hold some experience within the finance industry
  • Experience of delivery in large complex organisations
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the technology landscape, trends, and best practices
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Knowledge of programme organisation structures and proven ability to build teams who are set up for success
  • Experience and ownership of budget and financial benefits tracking for initiatives >£3m

Salary: Estimated salary is around £80,000 - £120,000 per annum, depending on experience.
