Job Title: Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our Nurture Provision in Newport. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting primary aged pupils with additional learning needs (ALN), trauma, and behaviour challenges.

The ideal candidate will possess patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children who require extra support. You will work closely with teachers and other staff members to monitor and report on students' progress, providing tailored support to help them achieve their full potential in a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with social and emotional needs (SEMH).
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting students' social and emotional development.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to monitor and report on students' progress.

Salary: £85.04 PAYE, £100 Umbrella

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Previous experience working as a TA, LSA, Support Worker or in a similar role is highly desirable.
  • A relevant qualification in counselling, support/social work or special educational needs is preferred.
