Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated pharmacist to join our team at Velindre University NHS Trust. As a specialist pharmacist in clinical oncology, you will play a vital role in developing and maintaining our pharmaceutical services to ensure they are safe, efficient, and compliant with Clinical Governance requirements.

The ideal candidate will have experience in oncology/haematology and aseptic services, but we also welcome candidates with general clinical skills and a willingness to learn. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable, but not essential.

Main Duties
  • Assist the Chief Pharmacist and Principal Pharmacists in developing and maintaining the pharmaceutical service to Velindre NHS Trust.
  • Contribute to the development of aseptic services and clinical trials.
  • Work collaboratively with the ward team to ensure the safe and efficient dispensing of medications.

  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Experience in oncology/haematology and aseptic services.
