Ardeta Search is partnering with a highly regarded accountancy practice in Derbyshire to recruit an experienced Accounts Administrator on a permanent basis. About the Role:
The Accounts Administrator will play a key role in ensuring the efficient running of the firm's financial and administrative operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the team with essential tasks, maintaining accuracy, and contributing to the smooth operation of the practice. This includes assisting with bookkeeping duties, managing client invoices, processing payments, and monitoring outstanding balances. Additionally, the Accounts Administrator will support the preparation of financial reports and documentation, liaise with clients to handle queries, and maintain organized records and files.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assisting with bookkeeping duties, including recording financial transactions and reconciling accounts.
  • Managing client invoices, processing payments, and monitoring outstanding balances.
  • Supporting the preparation of financial reports and documentation.

  • Maintaining organized records and files, both physical and digital.

About You:
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in an accounts or administrative role and a strong understanding of financial processes. Key skills and attributes include knowledge of bookkeeping and basic accounting principles, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, strong organisational and multitasking skills with a keen eye for detail, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a proactive and professional approach to work.

Requirements:
  • Prior experience in an accounts or administrative role.
  • Strong understanding of financial processes.
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping and basic accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Benefits:
The salary for this position is circa £26,000 + benefits. While previous experience in an accountancy practice is advantageous, it is not essential. Candidates with a willingness to learn and develop their skills will be equally considered.
