We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Criminology graduate to join our team as a Serious Violence Community Co-ordinator. As a key member of our Public Sector team, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing community networks and support structures to prevent serious violence in Richmond and Wandsworth.
Key Responsibilities:- Community Network Development: Lead the development of community networks and support structures to address violence, vulnerability, and exploitation in Richmond and Wandsworth.
- Forum Management: Manage and oversee the community forums across the two boroughs, sharing best practices and improving communication between the community network and key statutory agencies.
- Community Empowerment: Support community members to develop skills to implement localised violence reduction projects, empower local organisations to deliver projects, and provide access to training opportunities.
- Funding and Partnerships: Work with partner agencies to identify and secure sustainable funding for voluntary and community-led projects and organisations.
- Collaboration and Communication: Connect organisations with the local authority and police as part of a formalised critical-incident response, provide data and ensure service activities are planned, evaluated, and impact measured.
- Administrative Support: Provide administrative support for forums and be accountable for the generation and monitoring of external funding and delegated budgets.
- Relevant Criminology degree
- Experience in community development and network building
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work with diverse stakeholders
- Knowledge of funding opportunities and grant writing
