Business Services Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Administrative Assistant to join our team in the Breast Services department. This part-time role will involve undertaking general administration tasks, assisting the team with booking mammograms and procedures for screening and symptomatic patients, as well as imaging reception duties.
Main Responsibilities- Ensure effective day-to-day management of administration, clerical, and secretarial procedures within the Lincolnshire Breast Screening Service.
- Accurately and timely enter breast screening data onto the National Breast Screening Computer System (NBSS).
- Adhere to local policies/procedures and NHSBSP Quality Assurance Standards, ensuring local and NHSBSP targets are met.
- Provide support to the symptomatic services by booking mammograms and procedures.
- Offer effective support to the Breast Services Operational/Support Managers and admin team.
The Lincolnshire Breast Screening Service serves a population of approximately 110,000 women aged between 47 and 73 years. The service has three static units (Boston Hospital, Lincoln Hospital, and Grantham Hospital) plus three mobile units where mammograms are taken.
Key Requirements- At least 12 months previous office experience.
- Ability to prioritize work and work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
- Use of Careflow & CRIS.
- IT literate with sound knowledge of: Word, spreadsheets, databases, internet, email.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Diary management.
- Experience of working in a busy hospital environment.
- Maintenance of database records.
- Working knowledge of the NHS Breast Screening Programme.
- Secretarial experience.
- Good communication skills at all levels.
- Ability to empathise with individuals' personal circumstances.
- Ability to work within tight deadlines with speed and accuracy in a busy environment.
- Ability to deal with complaints.
- Ability to coach new staff.
- Ability to understand and follow procedures and policies.
- Good organisational skills.
- Ability to evidence/demonstrate key values and behaviours in line with the Trust framework.
