MCS Group is proud to be exclusively working with a leading food manufacturing company in County Tyrone, to recruit an Engineering Shift Manager. This exciting opportunity will see you leading the maintenance team for all process areas and site services, ensuring the continued development of the maintenance function and providing a pro-active professional service on the site.

About the Role

As an Engineering Shift Manager, you will be responsible for managing the Job Request System via SAP, ensuring all work is recorded and completed on time. You will also be required to manage, develop, and monitor PMS schedules on SAP, with regular communication on progress to the Engineering Management. Additionally, you will be responsible for raising and planning purchases on SAP, prioritizing, planning, and issuing work duties to a team of multi-skilled technicians, including apprentices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Management of the Job Request System via SAP
  • Management, development, and monitoring of PMS schedules on SAP
  • Raising and planning purchases on SAP
  • Prioritization, planning, and issuance of work duties to the team
  • Completion of failure analysis on plant and equipment
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have an NVQ level 3 or equivalent (Mechanical or Electrical) leadership skills, experience of managing teams, commitment to safety, and basic food hygiene. Experience of SAP Planned Maintenance Systems, utility and site services, health and safety qualifications, experience of PLC controlled machinery, high voltage distribution systems, and experience within a food processing industry are highly desirable.
