Job Title: Infrastructure and Platform Engineering Specialist

BlueCrest Capital Management is seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure and Platform Engineering Specialist to join our Technology Infrastructure team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, engineering, and supporting our multi-tenant private and public cloud initiatives.

About the Role

This is a critical role that requires a comprehensive understanding and experience across various platforms, including Windows, Virtualisation, GenAI, and their associated technologies, delivered via On-Premise, Hosted and Public Cloud platforms. You will work independently or as part of a team, demonstrating excellent communication and organisational skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and engineer new, diverse, and current technology initiatives, including platform engineering and support experience with public cloud platforms, preferably with a major Hyperscaler like Microsoft Azure or AWS.
  • Translate requirements through to providing and supporting solutions and environments for both proprietary and commercial software.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code methodologies with On-Prem and Cloud IaaS, achieved through automation and orchestration of cross-platform services using tools such as Source Control, Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform and ServiceNow.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive platform engineering and support experience biased towards the Microsoft server technology portfolio, including On-premise bare metal hardware deployments (preferably HPE), Advanced virtualisation design, architecture and support with VMWare, Microsoft, and containerisation with Kubernetes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver applications and infrastructure, with a focus on security, high availability, networking, and load balancing.

  • Extensive experience working both independently and as part of a diverse team, meeting both broad and specific project/BAU objectives.
  • Proven track record in problem-solving, critical BAU, advanced engineering, and technology service delivery in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment.
  • Strong analytical and methodical skills, with a passion for emerging technology trends, innovations, and directions.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
