We are seeking a dedicated and inspiring teacher to join our team at Wayman Learning Trust. This full-time, temporary position is available for the upcoming year with the possibility of extension.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a mixed Year 5/6 class, fostering a love for learning and strong academic progress. They will create an inclusive and positive classroom environment that nurtures and challenges each student.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons, preparing students for key academic milestones with a particular focus on supporting students in the lead-up to Year 6 SATs.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider school community, contributing to a supportive and vibrant learning culture.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a solid understanding of the UK primary curriculum.
  • Proven experience (or a passion for) teaching upper Key Stage 2 students with strong classroom management skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to inspire and motivate pupils from diverse backgrounds.
