About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Maths Tutor to join our team at MathsTutors.Online. As a Maths Tutor, you will play a vital role in delivering our innovative and successful GCSE Maths tuition programme to students across the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality GCSE Maths lessons via video call, using pre-prepared lesson plans and adapting to the needs of individual students.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to discuss student progress, providing regular updates and feedback.
  • Organise and deliver additional 1:1 catch-up sessions with students who require extra support, ensuring they stay on track with their studies.
  • Use free periods to cover other tutors' sessions when absence occurs, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to the team's success.
  • Mark student tests and provide constructive feedback on their work, helping students identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the team to continuously improve our programme, ensuring it remains the best on the market.
Requirements
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • STEM degree.
  • At least 2 years of tutoring or teaching experience, with a strong understanding of the UK education system.
  • Valid DBS certificate.
  • A proven track record of achieving above-average student results.
  • A concise, coherent, and approachable tuition style.
  • A laptop and a touchscreen tablet with pen.
  • A strong, reliable internet connection.
  • A positive, enthusiastic, and charismatic personality.
  • A willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A sense of urgency and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary of £32,000 per annum.
  • A fully remote work arrangement, with the flexibility to work from anywhere in the world.

Availability
  • Full-time, permanent, salaried role.
  • Monday to Friday, 4pm-9pm UK time, with a 1-hour team meeting per week during the day.
  • Approximately 10 hours of admin work outside of these hours, with flexibility to manage your time effectively.
  • Occasional weekend calls when required.
Communication Expectations
  • We use Slack for day-to-day communication, valuing clarity and transparency in our interactions.
  • Weekly team meetings and monthly 1-2-1 reviews ensure open communication and regular feedback.
