About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Transaction Services Associate Director to join our Due Diligence team in Manchester. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the financial due diligence process, delivering high-quality reports to corporate, private equity, and banking clients.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their own career and work directly with our Leadership team. As a Transaction Services Associate Director, you will lead due diligence assignments, coordinate with tax and other specialists, expand your external client portfolio, and network of relationships. You will also have the opportunity to work as part of our National TS team while maintaining a great degree of flexibility to personal circumstances.

The TS team works on a number of cross-border transactions, and the role will afford the opportunity to lead on international deals working alongside global clients and advisers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop your own client portfolio and relationships.
  • Work directly to partners locally and nationally.
  • Participate in national resourcing and project delivery meetings with peers and senior leadership.
  • Coordinate and direct proposals, taking the lead on the overall proposition, scope, and fee.
  • Manage due diligence assignments and oversee the input from specialist teams.
  • Coach and train teams to deliver insightful analysis and prepare issues-focussed due diligence reports.
  • Engage with clients and communicate issues in a timely manner.
  • Deliver confident and clear presentations to the client and other stakeholders.
  • Understand and respond appropriately to client needs.
  • Monitor time spent against budget and recover unbudgeted time.
  • Develop strong working relationships with clients and intermediaries.
  • Direct and support business development initiatives locally and nationally.
  • Produce high-quality work in line with our policy and processes, meeting relevant regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Qualified to ACA (or equivalent).
  • Financial due diligence experience in a similar role, covering a range of transaction types (buy-side, sell-side, financing).
  • Track record of developing and managing an external network of relationships, with examples of securing project work.
  • Experience of supporting on competitive proposals and pitches.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills.
  • The desire and ability to develop self and others.
  • Track record of developing new initiatives and methodologies.
  • Experience of identifying issues through sound analysis and application of commercial acumen in all situations.
  • Actively seeks to enhance expertise and knowledge.
