Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Head of Engineering to join our client's thriving business in the North England region. As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the Engineering Department and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of the Engineering Department, ensuring that all engineering activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to achieve business objectives.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve production processes, quality control, and safety regulations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Lead and manage a team of engineers, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their roles effectively.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as Production and Quality, to ensure that engineering activities are aligned with business objectives and that any issues or concerns are addressed promptly.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in food manufacturing, with a strong understanding of production processes, quality control, and safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of engineers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to achieve business objectives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with other departments and stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
