Care Support Specialist

We are seeking a compassionate and caring individual to provide support to vulnerable young people in our training apartments. As a Care Support Specialist, you will work with 16+ year olds to develop their independence skills, including cooking, budgeting, and form filling.
The ideal candidate will have a full UK Driver's License and be flexible to cover all shifts, days, nights & weekends. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a positive role model and support young people in a structure-rich environment
- Assist with daily activities to help build social and emotional skills
- Monitor and educate young people on their behaviors and provide guidance on stress management and abuse awareness
- Assist with budgeting and provide support with accessing college or the workplace

Requirements:
- Excellent understanding of safeguarding
- Flexibility to work shifts 12 hour shifts, sleep in shifts and alternate weekends
- Hold NVQ/Diploma or equivalent in Children & Young people or any related qualifications within Children & Young people or supported living
- Ideally over 2 year experience working with either children or young people or within a supported living environment
- Driver with a full UK driving licence is preferred
- Well written and comprehensive record keeping
