Job Title: Co-Creation Expert for Carers

As a Co-Creation Expert for Carers at Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing carer involvement and co-production in eating disorders care across the West Midlands. Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with our Professional Lead for Lived Experience Practice in developing opportunities, workshops, and training sessions that promote co-production and shared decision-making.

The ideal candidate will have lived experience of supporting a loved one receiving care for an eating disorder, be committed to co-production and shared decision-making principles, and be able to travel independently. You will also possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

About the Role:
  • Develop and facilitate opportunities for carers to engage in eating disorders care services
  • Support the development and maintenance of our lived experience network and communications
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to peer engagement facilitators
  • Collaborate closely with our Professional Lead for Lived Experience Practice to develop and implement strategies and initiatives
