Responsibilities
  • Contribute towards unit palletisation
  • Installation and setup of instrumentation and test cell automation system configuration as required by Engineering team
  • Validate basic engine running and associated fluid and boost conditioning systems in test cell environment

The successful candidate will also be part of a team which contributes towards running customer test requirements in a test cell for specific customer development programs, identify and diagnose unit faults, both mechanical and electrical, working with Engineering team to deliver effective solutions, and run the test cell using a mix of automated test cycles and manual operation leading into more complex calibration tasks with support from Engineering and Calibration teams.

Salary: Up to £42,000 (depending on experience) and generous benefits.

This role requires excellent understanding of engine fundamentals and related systems, City and Guilds and/or Full Apprenticeship. Alternatively ONC/HNC or similar in Automotive Engineering, and a sound automotive background, preferably within a test cell environment but candidates will be considered from other automotive disciplines.
