Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Development Underwriter with a deep understanding of Professional Indemnity to join our London team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for underwriting larger, more complex cases, building strong relationships with brokers, and contributing to the growth of our professional indemnity business.

Key Responsibilities
  1. To utilise your expertise to underwrite larger, more complex cases consistently and profitably, achieving an estimated salary of £65,000 - £85,000 per annum.
  2. Lead underwriting and sales visits to larger clients and prospects, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  3. Develop and maintain effective relationships with brokers, identifying new business targets and opportunities for growth.
  4. Stay up-to-date with market trends and competitor activity, adapting your strategy to stay ahead.
  5. Share your knowledge and expertise with the team, promoting best practices and driving excellence in underwriting.
Qualifications and Experience
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a broker-facing underwriting role, with a proven track record of success.
  • In-depth knowledge of the insurance market, industry, competitors, and factors influencing the market.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with brokers and clients.
