About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Workplace Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in driving improvements in workplace health and safety across our sites in Belgium.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and Implement Safety Programs: Assist in the development and implementation of safety programs and initiatives to improve workplace health and safety.
  2. Conduct Risk Assessments: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  3. Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with local and EU legislation related to workplace health and safety.
  4. Drive Safety Improvements: Identify and drive improvements in safety practices and procedures to reduce the risk of accidents and injuries.
  5. Train and Develop Team Members: Train and develop new team members on health and safety procedures and protocols.
  6. Coordinate Safety Audits: Coordinate and participate in safety audits to identify areas for improvement.
  7. Facilitate Safety Meetings: Facilitate safety meetings and ensure that all team members are aware of and understand health and safety procedures.
  8. Conduct Surveys and Checks: Conduct regular surveys and checks to ensure that all sites are in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  9. Support WHS Training: Support the delivery of WHS training to team members.

Our team is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our sites in Belgium. We are a dynamic and fast-paced team that is committed to delivering exceptional results.

Requirements
  1. Accredited Safety Technician: Must be an accredited safety technician in occupational risks prevention.
  2. Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  3. Experience: Several years of experience in occupational safety.
  4. Language Skills: Fluency in written and spoken English, Dutch, and French.
  5. Travel: Ability to travel to different locations in France.
