The Real Greek is a dynamic and supportive company that offers excellent training and development opportunities, a competitive pay structure, and a chance to progress in your career. We are currently seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our Southampton branch.

As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our high standards of food quality and presentation are consistently met. You will be expected to lead by example, motivate your team, and provide guidance and support to help them develop their skills and confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To manage the kitchen operations, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards and presented in a visually appealing way.
  • To lead and motivate the kitchen team, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and confidence.
  • To maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene, ensuring that all kitchen staff are aware of and adhere to our policies and procedures.
  • To work closely with the General Manager and Executive Chef to ensure that all kitchen operations are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • To identify areas for improvement and implement changes to maintain and improve our high standards.

Essential Skills and Knowledge:

  • Ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a calm and professional demeanor.
  • Financial awareness and strong organizational skills.
  • Basic IT skills.

Hygiene/Health & Safety/ Food & Safety:

  • To ensure that all food presented to customers is prepared with the freshest ingredients to TRG standard.
  • To be responsible for ensuring all kitchen staff are preparing and presenting quality food (following correct food and hygiene standards).
  • To report any issues with food quality and freshness from the suppliers or the Central Kitchen to the General Manager and Executive Chef.

Development of the Kitchen Team:

  • To recognize good performance and provide regular feedback to all kitchen staff.
  • To support the GM and EC in recruiting and training candidates for kitchen roles.
  • To ensure that all kitchen teams are managed and performing to their best abilities by providing excellent training and development.
