Vehicle Mechanic Job Description

Questech Recruitment Ltd is looking for a skilled Vehicle Mechanic to join its Automotive Maintenance division. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a mixed fleet of NHS and local authority vehicles, with the option of a permanent contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining vehicles to a high standard
  • Building strong relationships with clients
  • Carrying out regular inspections and diagnostics
  • Providing expert advice on vehicle repairs and maintenance

Working Hours and Rate of Pay:

The hours of work are between 7am and 7pm, Monday to Friday, with a 37.5-hour week. The pay rate is £19.00 - £20.00 per hour, depending on experience, plus benefits including ongoing manufacturer training and an excellent pension scheme when permanent.

Requirements:

  • Qualified to PCV or HGV City and Guilds or NVQ level 3
  • Holding a full UK driving licence
