About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Physiotherapist to join our Community Neurological Rehabilitation Service in East Sussex. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing new clients and supporting a caseload of existing clients in all aspects of their care.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assess new clients in the community setting for therapy input
  • Support a caseload of existing clients in all aspects of their care
  • Work alongside other physiotherapists within the team
  • Delegate work to rehabilitation technicians
  • Supervise staff at Band 2 to 5 level
  • Act as a clinical educator for undergraduate students
Requirements
  • Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
  • Current Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a physiotherapist
  • Training in student education
Experience
  • Experience of working as a Band 5 or above in a neurological and/or community setting for at least 18 months
  • Broad range of experience in community and acute settings
  • Experience of interdisciplinary working
  • Experience of independently managing a clinical caseload
  • Experience of supervising junior staff, assistants, and students
Skills
  • Experience within Neurology underpinned by theory and specific therapeutic knowledge
  • Advanced Manual Handling skills
  • Demonstrate Competency in a range of clinical skills
  • Ability to use and analyse standardised assessments
  • Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for individuals
  • Ability to demonstrate the application of research-based practice
Other Requirements
  • Ability to drive and access to a car
