Defined Benefit Pensions Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Defined Benefit Pensions Expert to join our team at Willis Towers Watson. As a specialist in our actuarial consulting practice, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on defined benefit pensions actuarial work, managing client relationships, and contributing to business development activities.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified actuary to specialize in defined benefit pensions actuarial work and contribute to the growth and success of our business. As a Defined Benefit Pensions Expert, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise to clients on their defined benefit pensions, developing and implementing new business initiatives, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including a generous pension scheme, life assurance, and private medical insurance. You will also have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, from large corporations to smaller businesses, and will be part of a supportive team of colleagues who are passionate about delivering exceptional results.

Key Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Experience working as a qualified actuary on core UK defined benefit actuarial work;
  • IFoA qualified actuary (or equivalent) qualification;
  • Strong technical expertise in defined benefit pensions actuarial work;
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information to clients;
  • Proven experience of project management and client relationship management;
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
