Electronic Patient Record Service Delivery Centre Lead

At Calderdale & Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust and Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, we are revolutionising the way our staff work by leveraging technology to improve quality and patient safety. This has led to the implementation of a shared instance of Oracle Health Millennium Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system.

The electronic patient records service delivery centre lead will be responsible for leading and developing the EPR service delivery centre, which includes operational management, performance monitoring, and service improvement and development.

Working closely with Directors of Informatics, Chief Clinical and Nursing Informatics Officers, and operational EPR leads, the postholder will set the EPR roadmap and deliver high-quality, efficient services. This will involve:

  • Leadership of the Electronic Patient Records service delivery portfolio
  • Execution of the EPR roadmap with other informatics and operational leaders
  • Managing the service's finances
  • Workforce planning to ensure the right people with the right skills are in place
  • Rigorous performance and quality monitoring to deliver best practice informatics operational standards
  • High-quality operational and service management

The postholder will be responsible for the leadership and management of the EPR team, establishing relationships with all three trusts, and delivering the EPR service. They will also manage budgets, chair the EPR governance process, and provide high-quality, timely, and proactive development of EPR within service constraints.
