At Primus Connect, we're seeking a talented Data Engineer to join our multi-function team. As a key player in our organization, you'll have the opportunity to develop and contribute to our future strategic ambitions.

This is an exciting role for someone with experience in data transformation, keen to work with Azure Data Services, Azure Synapse, and SQL Server/TSQL. You'll be responsible for designing and maintaining the Azure SQL/Synapse metadata framework, developing Azure Synapse pipelines, and performing data transformations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the design and maintenance of the Azure SQL/Synapse metadata framework
  • Develop Azure Synapse pipelines to load source data to the Data Lake and provide data to the Report layer(s) Power BI
  • Perform data transformations as per mapping documents
  • Develop Azure Synapse pipelines for audit capture, error, and exception handling
  • Automate Azure Synapse pipelines and Report Layer jobs using scheduling tools
  • Ensure quality is embedded and provable at every stage of code development
  • Provide design input for all technical deliverables
  • Create and maintain Technical Specifications
  • Data extracts from Legacy systems
  • Migration of data and processes from legacy systems to Azure Synapse
  • Identify improvements to existing processes and helping to migrate data and modeling into Azure Synapse
