Role Overview:


We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Officer to join our Younger Adults Commissioning Team within Adults' Health and Care at Hampshire County Council.



About the Role:


The successful candidate will play a key role in assisting with the development of Supported Accommodation practices for Hampshire, supporting younger adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and mental health conditions to live as independent lives as possible with the required support.


The current process for managing Supported Accommodation in Hampshire is being reviewed, and we're looking to identify opportunities to enhance and develop this process. Your Commissioning Officer role will be central to this improvement.


You'll have a good understanding of social care and the associated financial and economic challenges, using your experience of service design and development gained in a social care context, and your quality and monitoring experience to develop service requirements and implementation plans.


Your excellent IT skills including Excel will enable you to develop the IT system that supports the Supported Accommodation process as well as the ongoing operation of the current system.


Using your excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, you'll build successful, trust-based relationships with multiple stakeholders including our Case Management Teams and our Care and Housing Providers, ensuring we're working together in the most effective way and implementing changes for the benefit of our residents.


This role also involves supporting other Commissioning activities carried out within the Team such as supporting procurement activity and contract monitoring.


Salary and Benefits:


The salary for this role is £46,140 - £51,445 per annum, offering a competitive package, extensive benefits, and opportunities for personal development.

To be considered for this role, you'll need to demonstrate your ability to work effectively with various stakeholders, possess excellent IT skills, and have a solid understanding of social care principles and practice.
