Electrical Maintenance Engineer Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at CV Library. As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing the manufacturing plant and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Diagnose and repair electrical faults on plant and equipment to minimize downtime.
  2. Fault find and repair electrical equipment breakdowns.
  3. Perform regular maintenance checks to ensure equipment is running efficiently.
  4. Support upgrades and modifications of equipment and machinery.
  5. Assemble equipment based on engineering schematics or personal expertise.
  6. Prioritize safety protocols and perform risk assessments prior to commencing work.
  7. Work with industrial machines and perform maintenance tasks.
  8. Participate in the call-out rota to provide 24-hour emergency engineering coverage when necessary.

Requirements:

  1. HND/NVQ or equivalent engineering related qualification.
  2. Possess 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulation Certification.
  3. Familiarity with fault finding using PLCs.
  4. IPAD Licence is advantageous.
  5. Able to commute to Dukinfield on a daily basis.

What We Offer:

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 p.a. depending on experience + overtime available.

Location: Dukinfield.

Hours: 8 am - 4 pm, Monday to Friday.

On Call: 1 in 3 weeks (6 am Monday - 6 am Saturday) - Few calls out per year.
