Senior Non-Executive Director

We are seeking three experienced individuals to join our board as Non-Executive Directors. As a Non-Executive Director, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of ACH, a social enterprise that provides supported housing to refugees and vulnerable migrants.
About ACHACH was founded in 2008 to provide supported housing to refugees who had recently received their five years leave to remain. Since then, we have grown rapidly and are now approaching a turnover of £10m. We provide tailored integration services that help individuals succeed and disrupt the systems that have entrenched inequalities in our society.
Key Responsibilities- Adding value to the organisation by contributing experience, expertise, and insight.
- Establishing clear objectives to deliver the agreed board plans and strategy and regularly review performance against those objectives.
- Ensuring the long-term sustainability of ACH and its training subsidiary company, Himilo.
- Ensuring that financial controls and systems of risk management are robust and that the board is kept fully informed through timely and relevant information.
- Promoting the highest standards of corporate governance in compliance with the Economic and Consumer Standards of the Regulator for Social Housing and the NHF Code of Governance.
- A senior track record in organisational development or strategic leadership from either an executive or non-executive role.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: social housing management or regulatory experience, customer services or organisational operations and management, or business growth and transformation/IT systems/data.
- An understanding and some insights on refugee lived experiences, experience of operating effectively at senior levels within an organisation, and a proven ability in influencing decision making.
