Front of House Assistant

Are you a people person with excellent communication skills? Do you have experience working in a fast-paced, public-facing environment? We are seeking a Front of House Assistant to join our team at a local tourist attraction.

About the Role

As a Front of House Assistant, you will be responsible for providing efficient and effective information giving, ticketing, and retail sales service to visitors. You will work in the visitor information centre, including the attraction's admission point and shop, and provide a high-quality experience for all visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide information and assistance to visitors
  • Process ticket sales and retail transactions
  • Complete general administration duties, including telephone and email enquiries, typing, filing, and photocopying of correspondence
  • Work as part of a team to provide a welcoming atmosphere and high standard of customer care
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 2 GCSEs at Grade C or above in Maths and English (or equivalent)
  • 6 months' experience working as part of an admissions or retail team within a fast-paced, public-facing environment
  • Experience of utilising a computerised visitor admissions or computerised retail till system
  • Experience of working within a customer service environment providing a high standard of customer care
  • Experience of working within a team, and as an individual within a team, demonstrating a high level of self-motivation
  • Experience of effectively using a range of IT tools, including Word, Excel, and E-Mail
