Bookkeeper/Assistant Accountant Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Assistant Accountant to join our team at Reed. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for a variety of financial tasks, including financial forecasting, budgeting, and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare financial forecasts and budgets to guide business planning.
  • Conduct Profit and Loss analysis to understand the company's financial health.
  • Compile management account packs for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Perform costings and revenue analysis to support financial decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate balance sheet records and conduct regular analysis.
  • Conduct internal audits, ensuring VAT returns and other financial documents are correct.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, and assist with external auditing processes.
  • Assist with cash flow management to ensure the company's financial stability.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in bookkeeping or as an assistant accountant.
  • Strong understanding of financial forecasting, budgeting, and analysis.
  • Proficiency in creating management account packs and conducting costings.
  • Ability to perform revenue analysis and balance sheet analysis with high accuracy.
  • Experience with internal audits and compliance with financial regulations.
  • Knowledge of VAT returns and cash flow management.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
