Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Controller to join our team at Command. The successful candidate will be responsible for the smooth running of our accounts function, delivering timely and accurate management accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maximizing Returns and Cash Flow: Develop and implement financial controls to drive business growth, ensuring the effective use of resources and minimizing costs.
  • Accounting and Analysis: Provide detailed analysis and commentary on monthly management accounts, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.
  • Purchase and Sales Ledger Management: Oversee the collation and examination of purchase and sales ledger information, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise one or two Accounts staff and a Sales Administrator, providing guidance and support to ensure the team meets its objectives.
  • Performance Measurement: Monitor and review performance measurement tools and techniques, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
  • Capital and Project Appraisals: Review and analyze capital and project appraisals, providing recommendations to senior management on investment decisions.
Requirements
  • Strong Technical and Analytical Skills: Proven experience in accounting and financial analysis, with excellent technical and analytical skills.
  • Car Dealership Experience: Previous experience working in a car dealership environment, preferably with Kerridge, Pinnacle, or similar accounting packages.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
